The year-round training center is zoned into three different parts consisting of an education wing, a dining wing and a wing for lodging. These wings are centered around one common lobby and set of restrooms to accommodate the different needs of the client. This allows each wing to be used independently. Unused areas of the building may be shut down while not in use. The Lodging Suite is sized to accommodate 84 to 112 individuals. The Education Suite consists of primarily four classrooms as breakout space, accommodating up to 160 learners. The dining services can serve up to 200 in a banquet style setting. Through the use of exposed masonry walls, exposed trusses made from simple framing lumber, stained concrete floors and exposed wood ceilings and walls, references were made to the traditional log cabin structures typical of the 'WPA' camps of the past.
