McClain Hall
Arkansas State University Mountain Home
Mountain Home, Arkansas
Rapidly outgrowing its temporary location near the town square, Arkansas State University Mountain Home boldly embarked upon a mission to develop a new campus. McClain Hall, one of four new buildings that comprise the new campus, houses the Universitys science programs. The building contains general and clinical labs for nursing, EMT and funeral science programs, as well as traditional biology, chemistry and physics labs. In order to help mask the high tech use of the building, the fume hood exhaust fans and equipment are hidden behind the widows walk and inside the brick chimneys on the roof, which borrow their style from colonial Williamsburg.
