Charles D. Morgan Center for Physical Sciences*
Hendrix College
Conway, Arkansas
Housing one of the finest pre-med programs in the state, this small college science program quickly outgrew its historic building, Reynolds Hall. The solution involved constructing a new facility directly adjacent to the existing facility, with a new atrium linking the two structures. The new building houses all of the highly technical teaching and laboratory facilities, while the existing buildings limited interior clearances made it ideal for housing new classrooms and faculty offices. The new addition rigorously adheres to the colleges Collegiate Gothic architectural style, including clay tile roofs, copper gutters and cast stone detailing.
