This performing arts center is an addition to the existing campus theater. Together they form a multifunctional center with capabilities for drama, performing arts and chapel for the entire student body. The new auditorium, serves varying audience sizes up to 1,500 seats. The design called for three distinct areas - the orchestra, mezzanine and the horseshoe-shaped balcony. Ceiling lighting creates the desired effect for each situation, emphasizing only the seating arrangement used for each performance. The balcony or mezzanine can "disappear" when not in use, creating the ambiance of a full house. The existing theater is used as a black box theater for drama.
