Camp Aldersgate has a rich, 50 year history in central Arkansas serving the needs of children with special needs, offering unique programs for children and youth with medical disabilities. The camp is beginning a major fundraising campaign to provide facilities commensurate with its exceptional programs, and will begin with the construction of a new Camp Commons.

This new dining and activity center will address both the environmental and accessibility goals of the camp, and will serve as the primary focal point for the campers. The stone, wood and glass structure will anchor the north end of the new camp lawn, and will be oriented along an east-west axis to take advantage of natural daylighting. The dining and activity spaces, each with their own unique exterior expression, are bisected by the Great Hall - a soaring structure expressive of the surrounding the natural canopy.
