Arkansas is the latest recipient of funding to create a new College of Public Health, which will be located at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences campus in Little Rock. There are approximately 30 such colleges in the United States today. A nationally recognized team of Arkansas physicians and educators have come together to deliver this wellness-based program to students and community providers throughout Arkansas. The six story, 130,000 square foot addition completes the north end of the existing academic block of connected facilities. The facility itself, through its design and use of materials, helps promote health and wellness. Sustainable design and building methods reinforce the mission of the college.
