Like most small rural communities, healthcare and long-term care are at the heart of Clinton's residents. This replacement campus was able to relocate just south from its existing location to the projected growing side of the community by designing a two-zone facility.  Common areas can straddle the two healthcare functions, each having its own identity, flexibility and expandability.  The outpatient- focused hospital becomes the front door to the county while the nursing home sits elevated on the neighborhood plateau.  Architecturally, the rural vernacular gave this campus its signature for providing cutting edge healthcare with the residents in mind.
